On this Memorial Day Weekend, thank you for expressing your pride in America! Thank your for expressing your heartfelt gratitude to those in the military, past and present, who have fought and served for the freedoms we enjoy in this country today.I believe the freedoms we have, and the price that has been paid for them, is something we should reflect upon each day.
Thank you for being brave enough to share your opinion!! xoxo, Kathy

Good morning Kim!

We both must have been thinking the same thing! Early this morning I got up at 3:00 a.m. (couldn't get back to sleep) so I went outside and took some photos. Most of them were angels!

We need a new American flag. Our post broke and our flag was getting tattered. We hold the U.S. flag in our heart. So grateful for all of our servicemen over the years that helped to keep our country safe. My stepfather was a medic in World War II. He was in Japan, France and Germany. I have many friends who have served in the military. We truly have many freedoms that other countries don't have. I hope our freedom of speech, and freedom of worship never disappear!

Have a fabulous weekend! We're doing some projects around the house.

Beautiful! Your images are amazing. I found you on the Lady Blogger Social Tea Party today. Thank you for sharing. Stacie

Hi Kathy!
Thank you for visiting me this memorial day weekend! I hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend so far. We are all truly blessed to live in the good old USA! I am also very blessed and honored to have a special friend in my life like you! We have known each other since we were school girls...and I am truly thankful for that and for you! xoxo Kim

Thank you to everyone in your family who has served, this memorial day I will be sure to be thinking of them as well. I am absolutely in love with everything you have planted in your garden. I have been dying to get into gardening but feel at a bit of a loss of where to start. I think it's time I just dive in already! As a side note I have a huge smile on my face when I came to your blog and you had, God Bless the USA playing. Right before my husband left he, very badly, sang this song to me at the top of his lungs. And it reminds me of that night.

Just stopping by from LBS Tea Party! :) Beautiful photos and thoughts on your post today. Thanks so much for sharing.

Bluebirds and Butterflies

Hi Jane,
Thank you for visiting Bluebirds and Butterflies. I, myself, smiled at hearing that your loving husband sang "God Bless the USA" to you before he deployed. He sounds like a wonderful man! I am glad you have your little puppy, Kimo, to keep you company while he is gone. What a cutie! I will keep your husband and you, too, in my prayers. Thanks to people like your husband, we live in a wonderful country where we are free! xoxo Kim

Bluebirds and Butterflies

Hi Deb,
Thank you for taking the time to visit me at Bluebirds and Butterflies today. I enjoyed visiting your blog and hearing about your travels to the Fuji area and Robinson Crusoe Island. Great photos---but what a scare hearing that a tsunami could be upon you while you were in the boat! So thankful that everyone made it back to the island safely and was fine. Sounds like, in spite of quite a scare, you had a wonderful and very educational time! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Have a beautiful day! xoxo Kim

Bluebirds and Butterflies

Bluebirds and Butterflies

Hi Sandy,
As always, I am SOOOO happy to see your sweet comment on my blog! It seems we are truly in sync in many ways. The angels in my posting today are small concrete statues in my yard...angels watching over so to speak. I am so glad you like them. They have been with me at the past two or three homes I have lived in. We truly are so blessed to live in America! Thanks to the brave people like your step-father who served his country! We salute him and all the brave men and women who serve and have served in the past! Thank you! xoxo Kim

Hi Kim!

What a true Gem your blog is! I was sent over from the Lady Blogger Society Social Tea Party! As an active duty Coastie and the Wife of an active duty Soldier currently deployed, I THANK YOU for your blog and the beautiful pictures of our amazing symbol of Freedom! Also, from the looks of it, you live in a beautiful neighborhood! I love the way the houses cascade in your pictures!

Sheri, Jess, and Nel

Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog. We truly are kindred spirits. My dad passed away from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma over 20 years ago, and my beloved mother passed three years ago also, like yours. I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you loved them dearly. My mom lived a long life - in her 80's, but my dad was only in his 60's. Me and you are on this journey without them now, but I want you to know I am there for you, my friend. I love all your pictures on this post, and the statues. I have my favorite "Lady" statue that is sitting on my front porch, and I have taken it with me every time I move. Have a beautiful Day.
