There is nothing to brighten your day like flowers!
I feel so blessed that I am able to see the beauty of flowers... Thank you, God, for giving me the gift of vision so that I can appreciate all the beauty around me... I have worn glasses and contacts from the time I was in the 3rd or 4th grade of school and cannot remember ever being able to see without the help of correction. I believe I was born with bad vision, but how different my life would have been had I been born blind. Sometimes, when I see a beautiful scene in nature, I think about how lucky I am to be able to see this beauty... Something to add to a gratitude journal no doubt!
Sometimes, it is the little things in life like just being able to see...that we forget to be thankful for. When we have a bad day, we forget that things could be a lot worse. Isn't it wonderful that those of us who can hear well can enjoy the laughter of a child, the melody of a beautiful song, or the chirp of a songbird... We are blessed to have the gift of sight and sound! It all comes down to the basics of life... Today, I am thankful...
One of my favorite places to appreciate the beauty of flowers is at Pike Place Market.
When I walk through the market place, I always stop to look at all the beautiful flowers...
I love to watch the people who work at the flower section of the market as they create a beautiful bouquet. They carefully select each flower...
There are so many different varieties of flowers to choose from...
It is Memorial Day at the market. The red, white and blue flowers make up a very patriotic looking bouquet!
There are several different colors of tulips to choose from...
Isn't this a beautiful arrangement?
The prices of the flower bouquets are so reasonable at the market. Ten dollars will buy you a lovely arrangement to take home.
The flower section of the Pike Place Market is always busy... Everyone loves flowers!
Look at all the bouquets! They are all so beautiful that it is hard to choose...
You can purchase a pretty bouquet that is wrapped and ready to take home...or, have one made up just for you!
I love this pretty bouquet!
Selecting a bouquet to take with me on the ferry ride home is a wonderful way to end the day. The flowers are always fresh when I arrive at my home....ready to go into a pretty vase and be enjoyed for the next few days.
I hope that you have a beautiful weekend.... I am truly thankful for the many blessings I have in my life... YOU are one of them! Have a happy day! xoxo Kim
The first pic took my breath! I would so love to have flowers like this to pick from, I would have them in my home all the time. I used to have a rose garden at a previous home with around 40 rose bushes. I had roses in every room..I miss that! Have a great weekend! :D

Kim,
I always love looking at beautiful flowers...and these are so bright. Thank you for reminding me that we have so much to be thankful for. The girls had the best time in Pike Place Market. I just bought a dozen red roses for mom and dad on Memorial Day just cause I was thinking about them. It was actually a treat for me.
Have a great weekend.
